You know when you think you have taught your child something really great then it comes back to bit you...........well that was this morning.

Isabelle always watches me put on lotion so I let her start putting her lotion on herself yesterday. She had great fun rubbing it on her belly, legs, arms and face.

So fast forward to this morning...I get her up, put her in her highchair and give her a banana and yogurt for breakfast. Then I go get the baby and change her diaper...and what do I come back to.

Isabelle has taken her yogurt, which I now realize looks like lotion...and rubbed it all over her arms and face!!!!!!!! She was so darn proud of herself too. What a mess! But it sure did make me laugh!

Isabelle and Eliza are both asleep in their rooms right now...Can you believe it. The problem is I have so much to get done I don't even know where to start!!!!! Lets hope it lasts for a little bit. Here is a picture of my little burrito sleeping :) She has been flip flopping sleeping. Some nights she will sleep 6.5 hrs without waking up. But she likes to keep me on my toes and only sleep 3 hours the next night!

Isabelle is really into covering her eyes and walking around. She even wants to swing and cover them! The other day we were in the kitchen and heard Isabelle laughing and then a loud thud and crying. The girl had been walking around with her eyes covered and walked straight into the wall. Not sure what that is all about.

We got a call this morning from a friend of hers whose house we were playing at yesterday. She told us that her daughter has a really bad stomach bug today. Great. So now I am just waiting for Isabelle to get sick and in turn I will get sick. Say some prayers that is passes us by!!!!!!!!!

Eliza was doing really good but we are now back to screaming a lot. Fun times here! If she wasn't so cute I don't know what I would do with her :) She has smiled at me a few times but in my mind its not enough and she should be doing more by now. Let my crazy worrying begin! Here we are in the good times and bad!

Well we had a very busy weekend. Sat we were at the pool trying to get Isabelle used to the water again. She had fun but was not overly impressed with it! So we got a BIG plastic swimming pool for the backyard (I am glad no one was watching me try to jam it in my car in the Walmart parking lot....lets just say it wouldn't fit in the back of the Pilot!) So by Sunday night she was having more fun in the water.

Sunday we celebrated Fathers Day! Daniel got some boring tools and a fan...yes a fan. Only he would like a fan! Then we were off to Church. We got some Pappasitos to go and Nathan joined us for lunch. Overall it was a great weekend...

Lets play the game...who does the baby look like :) I just thought it ws fun to look at all of our baby pics!

Baby Erika

Baby Daniel

Baby Isabelle (3weeks)

Baby Eliza (6 weeks)

Where to begin..............

For those who don't know Eliza is here!!! She was born 5/1/07 at 9:27 AM 6lbs10oz and 19 inches long! After a little bit of a bumpy start she is doing well. We went to see the cardiologist who told us he is not concerned about the hole and will never do surgery just keep an eye on it...that was a huge answer to prayers. We passed our hearing test on try 3 :) And after a week of non stop screaming...and I mean screaming. We went to the Dr who said her refulx (she spit up all over me and the entire office!) was bad enough she didn't need to do any of the test and her screaming was because her esophagus was so inflamed. Opps guess I should have taken her soon. But we have been on meds for a day and I think they are starting to help. And at 6 weeks she is 8lbs 12oz. Finally a baby that gains weight! So that is our start with Eliza. But she is such a beautiful baby and a big answer to prayers!!!

This pretty much answers the questions of how my little breech baby was jammed in there. It took her a while to put her legs down. If you look at the first pic you can see where she put her foot print on her face!

Isabelle finished school a few weeks ago and is now at Kamp Klein for June. Today was ladybug day so she came home with all ladybug crafts and yes I sent her to school in a ladybug shirt!! Here she is on her last day of school. Also she has learned how to drink from a real cup, but we are still sticking with the sippy cup for now! She is really starting to talk...about everything.

Isabelle is very good at being a big sister, but I think she has figured out the baby is not leaving and has been less than thrilled with her lately. She wants me to hold her always and not the baby!

She is still probably more fun playing with Huddy at this point though......

UPDATE!!!!!
Ok so our computer broke so we got a new one and I can't get the pictures to upload...so its going to be a little boring without cute pictures but hopefully I can figure that out in the next few days.

Isabelle is sick again....imagine that. She has a sinus infection which explains why she has been such a pill lately! Poor thing I just thought she was acting up for fun....oops!!! She is getting bigger each day...or better yet more grown up. At the Dr today she was 23.5 lbs with all her clothes and shoes on! She is really into babies right now which is a good thing but her Dr. today said shes going to act out once the baby gets here, there is no getting around that. Great! She is also into playing peek a boo but she covers her mouth instead of her eyes???? All in All shes a lot of fun

Eliza will be here in 6 days. I am having another c section May 1 at 7am...so add that one to your prayer list please!!!! She is breech which is really really uncomfortable so I am counting the days until I can breath again. I am not however counting the days until I have to figure out how to take care of two babies (21 months apart) Any suggestions!!! If I think about it to much I get a little stressed so we are just going to take it one day at a time!

Thats all our news for now...I promise to figure out the picture thing soon...I have some really good ones to post!

Isabelle has been working on her numbers! Ok so all she knows is 2 comes after one...but we are working on three. Today Daniel was asking her how old she was and she replies....THREE! Yes three. So we laugh and then a while later he tests her to see and again she says three. No wonder she is so independent sometimes...she is three and I didn't even know!
Today they had rodeo pictures at school. (I still don't get Houston and this whole Rodeo thing but whatever) But the best part is I didn't know it was rodeo picture day and I dressed her in this cute little sailor girl outfit. Great. Not sure how these pictures are going to come out!
Tomorrow I get to go duke it out for a spot in a new school for Isabelle. Wish me luck. Who knew you had to start fighting to get your kid into a good school this young!!!!

Last night our door bell rings at 9 pm...yes 9pm then the person knocks on the door and I can see them peeking through the window on the door. Naturally I decide its a robber....because they always knock first! But Daniel answers the doors and its two ladys selling Kirby Vacuums. Right your read that right. While they are trying to explain what they are selling the ladys phone rings twice...but not just rings its a the great musical ring tone of Don't You Wish Your Girlfriend Was Hot Like Me. Daniel tells her ..uhhhhhhhhh its 9 at night ,not an appropriate time to be soliciting. To which she replys its 9?? I was 8:30 just a little bit ago. Right. There not hours between 8:30 and 9. Whatever...who sells vacuums at 9 at night. Now if it was the girl scout cookie kids I may have had a better attitude!

Our Goddaughter Cameron came to visit and Isabelle had a blast playing with a big girl for a weekend!!!

Cooper and Cassie also came for a weekend and as you can tell Isabelle tried to win Cooper over by hand feeding him his meals...and offering him some of her juice!

This is Isabelle playing with our Goddaughter Emma...Isabelle is getting lots of good practice being a big sister!

This is her coloring her first picture. I think she is a natural! We have finally moved past eating crayons to coloring with them...most of the time!

Here we are at the Downtown aquarium on the Ferris wheel. I was not as impressed with the heights as Isabelle and Daniel were. There is tons of fun stuff for the kids to do. And it only cost you and arm and a leg.

Ok I really really promise to be better at blogging. (Laura stop laughing...she says I start every post this way!) Isabelle is so much fun right now. She is enjoying showing off her personality. Since I have so many crazy stories about her these days I guess I should share.
Remember that whole stress that she wasn't talking. HA not an issue anymore. The things I will know for next time! Yesterday she discovered the word mine! Not sure how because I never use it?? But the best part is she has no idea what it really means. She just walks around all day saying mine mine mine mine. Not even pointing at things just saying it to herself. Lets just hope it takes her a long time to learn the meaning!
She has also taking to climbing. She keeps pulling her toys over to the end table and using them as a stool to climb up on it. Or she finds a chair and climbs in it and stands there with no hands! So today we implemented time out. Oh and get this...she loves it. I tell her No then when she doesn't listen I say ok do you want to go to time and out...to which she says "Yes" and runs over to her time out chair. She sits there and we go over why we don't stand in chairs or climb then she says "sorry" and climbs down and goes back to getting into trouble. Why is parenting so hard.
I don't have any pics yet but I will post them soon...but Isabelle is the proud wearer of a bob! We had to cut off the mullet and therefore ended up with a bob...but it looks so much better!

And were sick...............again! Isabelle is so good at getting sick! She started running a fever the other day so off to the Dr. we went. Of course everything looked good so they did a bunch of blood work. Which brok my heart. Me and a nurse had to hold her down while another one drew blood. My poor sweet baby! The nurse had to leave for a min before starting and Isabelle leaned over and started giving me kisses. That broke my heart even more. In the end they think its a viral infection of some sort. They did tell me she may break out in a rash in a few days (ha sounds familiar Cara! No I don't think she got it from Cara though!!) They are also doing blood work to look for an immune disorder to explain while she gets sick sooooooooooo much or allergy problems. Lets hope its the latter of the two. Oh and she did have me up at 4 am this morning! They day is starting off great :)

Christmas was soooooooooooooooooooo much fun!!!!! I don't even know where to start! My parents and sister and Rodney were in town so we had lots of people around to work on spoiling little Isabelle! She got so many new toys and loves them all....so our house is over flowing now. I will just post the pictures and let them tell the story. There are also a few from our bike ride the day after Christmas.

Isabelle discovered salsa today! It was the funniest thing I have ever seen. Cara and I had gone to Freebirds (they finally built one on the Northside of Houston!) well we had both gotten chips and salsa, which was sooooooooo good. So I guess Isabelle had been sitting there watching us dip our chips in the salsa because all of a sudden she reaches over me grabs and chip and dips it in the salsa!!!!!!!! She then sucks it off and keeps going for more salsa. Like mother like daughter!! I just forget that she is watching everything I do and taking it all in! I wish I could have recorded it!!! I finally got her eating something else because you know I don't like to share my salsa :) Well I gave her a cookie....and what does she do....trys to dip it in salsa too!

Ok so this will serve as my promise to be a better blogger. Cara has been much better then me lately so I need to catch up! Here is the picture of our Christmas tree. We bought a 9ft one this year...its huge. I decided not to decorate with our normal ornaments because I am lazy and don't want to spend the next 4 weeks keeping Isabelle out of it. So its very simple. But its my dollar store creation, and I think it came out good.
Isabelle is as fun as ever. She talks German 23 hours a day. Nonstop. Today she just laid in her crib for an hour talking to herself. She carries on conversations with you...but you have no idea what she is saying....she on the other hand thinks she is coming across quite clear! She is still into everything! But I promise to start being better about blogging her funny stories....because trust me there are a lot!

Isabelle's surgery went well this morning. She was really fussy afterwards coming out of fog of the drugs. The nurse said she will make a good opera singer with how high she screams :) The Dr came by and said all went really well and they did have to drain some stuff out of her ear. He also said he wished he could have recorded how good she did and show it to the other babies!!! She went off with the drs (without us) and never fussed and went along with what they wanted until they sedated her. You know sometimes I wonder if she even likes me :) Just kidding! So many praises to God for watching out for our little girl this morning and lets hope this helps the tantrum issue!!!

We got home from a great long trip to Wyoming only to be stuck hard by the stomach flu and the never ending ear infections. Isabelle got the bug shortly after we returned. We even had to miss the MS walk this year. Then I was the lucky one to get the bug...only I got it times 100 and now a week later I am starting to kind of get over it. Its been miserable. I can't say enough bad things about it....can you tell. So here are a bunch of pics I have been needing to post but couldn't make it to the computer. There are some from our super fun trip to Wyoming, her visit to the pumpkin patch, and her first haircut. I promise to write more later and hopefully update with Halloween pictures ....soon :)
Oh and Isabelle is getting ear tubes on Thursday so say prayers that all goes well!
