These are Isabelle's 6 months pics. I included one of the Muppet shots! I got bored of feeding her peas and switched to bananas..thinking for sure she would like these because they are sweet. But she thought they were sour too. She is so weird. I think her taste buds are backwards. So being the wonderful parent that I am I tried the bananas to see if she was making up all this sour business. And guess what...they taste like nothing. They are so mild. So we will keep trying I guess. I think next I am going to feed her sweet potatoes???

Big Weekend!
So it was big weekend. We tried apple juice and peas. Correction Isabelle tried apple juice and peas. She hates apple juice...really hates it. I think she is taking after her Grandma A. When you give it to her she acts like it is the most sour stuff in the world and makes and awful face. I have tried everyday for the past few days and she never likes it. You would think after milk and rice cereal something sweet would be great...guess not! So then we gave her peas. Yes the first food I gave her was peas...don't know why we picked it we just did! We were pretty sure she would hate it if she didn't like apple juice. So we got all ready video camera in hand to capture this great reaction to the peas...and what do we get nothing....she eats them just like she has always been eating peas! So she will eat a few spoonful and then be done...but its a start!
Don't even ask how the sleeping is going. She is not doing well in that department right now. So the past few nights have been trying at best!

Isabelle has a diaper rash today and she seems pretty much pissed off about it. She has been screaming tons today. She will quite for a while and then its like all of a sudden she remembers and gets started up again. So I have been putting tons of stuff(Boudreaux's butt paste...yes that is really what it is called!) on it and she is sleeping now..lets hope it helps FAST......
Great right as I am writing this I can hear her starting to cry in the other room. She has become quite fond of thirty min naps.... I miss the days of her three hour naps!!!
Ok this is pic of her hanging out in her play pen...since she is a traveler now days!

Today was picture day....AGAIN! When I went to get Isabelle out of her crib this morning.....get this...she had a giant red scratch on her forehead. Great!!! Ended up it didn't look to bad in the pictures. She did much better today. She did one really great smile, but of course the photo lady cut her head of fin that picture. Just my luck. Anyway most of the rest she had her tongue sticking out in...but they are super cute, they really show her personality. As soon as they send me the files I will post them for you! Daniel said I was being a high maintenance mom for getting them redone...but if you could see the other ones you would understand...she looked like a muppet in all the pictures!

Then we had to go up to work for a while ( yes I have the worlds hardest job to quite...but I think Cara may find hers harder to quite...we shall see!) She just sat and played in her stroller for a good two hours...everyone was very impressed!

HAPPY 6th Month Birthday Isabelle.

I can't believe its been 6 months!!! Holy Cow it goes by fast!!! Today we took her to get her 6 month pics, and it was a flop! She would not smile no mater what. Three adults making fools of themselves would not get her to smile. She would start to smile and then bite her bottom lip so that she could not smile. It was crazy. She was doing it on purpose. So we are going to try it again on wed to see if we can get her smiling. What a stinker!

Isabelle drank from her sippy cup today!!! She drank a whole two ounces of it before she got bored and was having more fun chewing on the top than drinking from it. I would set it on the table in front of her and she would pick it up by the handles and drink from it. She is so smart. This may be an isolated incident but maybe not! Also the best thing is she has started giving kisses. When you give her a kiss on the cheek she will turn and slobber on your cheek...shes getting the idea. She is super cute if you ask me.
So this week went well with the babysitters. However by Wednesday she caught on to the whole thing. The girls walked in and she started screaming. I thought they weren't supposed to enter into the parental attachment issues phase until later!!!

We are getting a babysitter for this afternoon, so lets all hope this one goes a little better. I can't believe I am going to leave her with another babysitter after last time!!! Everyone say your prayers!
We had a good weekend, I have still been busy trying to get life back to normal after being gone for so long. We took Isabelle to the park to swing and of course she had a blast!!
Oh and the best news of all, we had lost her favorite pacifier (its the one the hospital gives you and for some reason babies love them and you can't buy them any where...my advice if you are having a baby soon, ask if you can have an extra at the hospital) Anyways I found it!!!! It had been lost since Thanksgiving. When you give her a normal pacifier she will only chew on the outside of it (the hard plastic backing) She is just plain weird sometimes!

You can tell she is so very proud of herself for sitting up!!!! So now not only is she sitting up but she is getting better at rolling in all directions and inching her way to what she wants. She has learned the if she puts her head down and then push up on her feet she can move a few inches. So now with all these new talents she has found a great new toy...the stereo. If I look away for a min she will have rolled or inched her way to the stereo and is playing with the buttons on it. I think its time to baby proof the house!!!!

Here are some pictures form Christmas

Sorry about the lack of updates. I promise I haven't stopped blogging. We were out of town so much for Christmas and New Years that I didn't get a chance to! It was a great Christmas. Isabelle got lots of fun toys and a highchair too. Which is really great news for me...its a lot less messy to feed her in that! She has found her new favorite love....swinging. She probably spent a good 4 hours a day swinging while in Houton. But it has to be swinging outside!!! She loves being outside. Anyways she doesn't get to do that here and she has adjusted ok I guess. If you could find me a tree down here then maybe I could put a swing out but here in South Texas we don't have such things!!!!
After our long vacation in Houston we can home and I set her down on the couch and she sat up by herself. So I thought maybe it was somehow just the couch keeping her up so I tried it on the floor and she sat up all by her self there too. So it officially she can sit up. Who knew you could get so excited over someone sitting up. Now she can loose her balance at any moment and go falling in any direction, so we sit her down and put pillows all around to catch her. I will have to include some pictures of that tomorrow. But we are so very proud :)
And even better news she has slept for 12 hours straight the pass 3 nights. Knock on wood everyone...I hope this continues!!!
