So we were in Houston this weekend and what does Isabelle do.....she starts cooing again. First off this is wonderful because I can stop worrying, for today, that she has Autism (don't fear I am sure I will worry about it later or will find something else to worry about shortly!)But come on Isabelle this makes me look like a lunatic....like I made it all up. When she's around me she won't do it but here around others she will. But I am HAPPY for the cooing don't get me wrong!!!!We took her to the mall this weekend with the stroller. Yes I was that woman with the stroller loaded high with packages (thanks to Cara:)) blocking the isles. You would think since I have been staying home full time with her that I would have gone shopping for Christmas presents and had a grand ole time shopping all day long. Ha! I did most of my shopping online this year. You try getting in and out of stores with the big stroller and then try to navigate the isles...........ahhhhh I am getting stressed just thinking about it! Now I understand why people strap there kids on their backs when they go places!!!!!

Yesterday was a good day. Why? Well first because I was able to go to Kohls without Isabelle pooping in her pants. Last time I had to go twice in one day and the first time we got there she went in the car so I had to change her diaper in the parking lot...then when I went back to return something the lady behind me said and I quote "ummmmmmmm your baby just went poo poo" Thanks! So I had sworn off going there since clearly Isabelle was to comfortable there, but we made it out yesterday without any problems! Second I made it to the grocery and back without being robbed. Yes someone was robbed in broad daylight at our grocery store. We live in a weird place :)
She slept much better on Tuesday night.....from 8:30 to 6:30, but last night was a different story. She went down about 8:45 and slept good until 2 and then I got her back asleep and she was back up at 3??? I don't know what the deal is? But she is just so cute I can't get mad at her :)

Dont we look just like Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt :)
Today is a big day in the roll over world of Isabelle. Usually she rolls over her left shoulder only...well today she went both ways. She still hasn't really mastered the roll from tummy to back. She has done it a few times but I think it was just accidental. Which I figure is good because once she gets that she is going to be rolling all over the room.
Ok, so you know that they say routine is very important for getting babies to sleep. Well I always feed her then give her a kiss on the check and put her down for a nap. So now she has caught on and will start crying when I give her a kiss on the check...she knows the nap is next! Talk about making a mom feel bad! But the good part is that whenever she is ready to get up and I come in to get her she starts smiling really big! This morning she started laughing when I came in. I know I look bad in the mornings but for a five month old to be laughing it must have been really really bad!!!
Isabelle has these Christmas blocks and each one has a different scene inside of them. Well for some reason this one block she screams every time she sees it. I though maybe it was just my imagination but I showed it to her this morning and she screamed again. I am talking about the panic scream with huge tears. So I will have to hide this block I am guessing!!!

SLEEP?!?!?!?!?!?!
I have no idea why but we have reverted back to even worse sleeping hours than the newborn days! Last night she woke up at 10:30, 12:30, 3:30, 7:30. My only guess is maybe she is about to start teething? Maybe its to cold for her? Who knows but I miss the good old days :)
So things went ok with the babysitter. We got home around 11:30 and little miss was awake. She just looked so tired. It looked like she was doing all she could to stay awake. The babysitter (and her friend) said that she woke up right after we left, but the more I think about it, I wouldn't be surprised if they woke her up or went in to look at her and she woke up. She never wakes up that soon after going to bed...she usually just waits until I am about to go to bed to wake up!!!
Other than that we had a pretty quiet weekend. Saturday we went to the church's Breakfast with Santa and Isabelle had her picture taken with Santa again! Next year we are doing this instead of paying the $23 for 4 pictures at the mall!!!! Yesterday I was wrapping all the Christmas presents and Isabelle was watching me...she was going nuts she was so excited...I guess she is going to be a Christmas girl!

Babysitter!!
Today we are leaving Isabelle with her first babysitter. I know big step right!! We have to go to a Christmas party for my work (or old work...whatever long story!) So we are going to get her all ready for bed and then leave. We should only be gone a couple hours and are just right up the streeet, but still its a big deal to us. We have left her before but always with relatives. This is a girl from church we love and totally trust so I know everything will be fine!!!
This picture is of a onesie Carolyn sent (it fits perfect!!! thanks Carolyn!!) I thought all you Dirty Dancing fans would love it. Daniel didn't get it, I had to explain to him :)
I promise she smiles all the time, but whenever you get a camera out she just looks at you like you are nuts....case in point above!

Freezing!!!!!!!!!
So its freezing here today. I know in comparison to everyone else reading this its not as cold but 35 during the day in Corpus Christi is freezing. And my husband got up this morning at 4:45 to go to the gym....so he gets ready and is leaving...I look over and he has shorts and a tee shirt on, according to our thermometer it was 33 with a wind chill of 17 and he is going to go outside in that!!!! So I had to talk him into at least wearing a sweatshirt. When he gets home he says man its cold out..............he came home from the gym without putting on the sweatshirt...what am I going to do with him.
We had to run an errand last night so we bundled up Isabelle in this big fleece outfit (it was for a 9 month old, but we didn't have anything else) and a hat and socks. She just looked mad at us the whole time!!!!
She woke up so much last night...maybe it was to cold for her, but she was up at 12 am, 4:30am and then woke up at 7....now she is trying to sleep all day....Not fair!
This morning I was telling her how beautiful she was and she spit up all over me...she makes me laugh :)

TOES!!!!
So Isabelle is obsessed with her toes. Last night Daniel was feeding her (rice cereal) in the car seat since don't have a highchair and she kept putting her toes in her mouth....Either with the bite or after. Then the occasional thumb. Talk about a mess. And forget trying to change her diaper these days... The min you lay her down on the changing table she is either trying to roll over or eat her toes....Or both! It gets real complicated when its a dirty diaper!!!!
So I talked to the Dr yesterday. Not to concerned about the cold thing. And no I didn't get the warm fuzzy "don't worry about it all kids do that at this age" answer about the babbling. He basically said I am not to alarmed yet but we need to watch it. Doesn't he know I am now going to obsessively watch for cooing or babbling!!!!! But I have decided I have to let it go our I will worry by self to gray hair way to soon! I think that is what the teenage years are for :)

Ok so today is the day I am going to start my blog...stop laughing!
Why today, well because I have a stupid flat tire and therefore will be going no where...not that I have any place to go, it just the fact that I can't!!! I think Isabelle is coming down with a cold...she is sneezing and coughing a lot...so I have a call into the Dr (and yes he already called back but I missed his call because I was messing with my flat tire!)
My latest new mom freak out has been the Isabelle has stopped cooing and babbling (she hasn't done it in about 4 weeks) So naturally to me this means she has autism...and to Daniel it means I am freaking out about nothing. I am going to bug the Dr about it when he calls back....I will let you know what he says.
So the picture is our Christmas card picture, I think its super cute!!! I hope its attached...if not I have no idea how to get it there.....
