Well I have finally realized why I never update. We never take pictures!! And really who wants to read a blog with no pictures :)

We finally got a little camera instead of the big bulky one that we were both to lazy to learn how to use. So no maybe since I take pictures there is hope for my blog. But really I wouldn't get to excited yet, we will see how I progress!

We had a good Easter. We had just gotten back from South Dakota for my uncle's funeral so it was kind of a hurried blur but good none the less. Maybe my next post I will put up some pics from our SD trip.

Isabelle was star of the week to celebrate her "summer birthday" last week at school. She was so excited about it. I think it was more exciting than Christmas for her!She was so excited to have Daddy and Eliza come eat lunch with her and bring Popsicles for her friends! I was there too, but I am not as exciting I guess :) Daniel even got to read a few stories to the class!!

Isabelle had recital pictures the other day at dance class. She woke me up at 5:30 in the morning asking if she could start getting ready. She looked so big all dressed up!!

I was told I came on a little strong with my three posts in a row so I tried to space the next one out some ;)
Eliza had a school program last week! Daniel had just attended a fancy camera class the weekend before to learn how to use the camera better. No joke these are the best pictures out of the ones he took that night. You just have to laugh!!! They were all mainly a black square!!

Eliza did surprisingly well. She sat through most of it and did a few hand motions. She really spent the majority of the time trying to figure out how to cross her legs, she finally got them crossed, lost her balance and fell off the step. I was that Mom laughing out loud at my own child! She would occasionally stand up and wave to us too. It was too cute!

I will post the pictures of the big Christmas dance performances tomorrow. I guess Christmas is showoff season!

So I thought I was really going to have an easy few weeks before Christmas with the addition of the elf to our house. Isabelle was really into it for ohhhh an hour. We named him Fritz and he watches and listens to everything they do and then goes to report to Santa each night how they have been. Sounds great right!

Well they have spent the day hiding behind doors, playing behind the bed and still getting into mischief. Isabelle said they are just going to play where the elf can't see or hear them.

Great....I can only imagine how the teenage years are going to be around here.

Who thought I would never post again???????

So after a hiatus I will try blogging again, lets be honest I have never been good at keeping up with it, and when else better than the hectic Christmas season than to start trying again?!?!?

The first week of December has been crazy busy. I am hoping this week will be a little calmer! We decorated the tree, had Daniel's work Christmas party at the house, went to the Nutcracker, and to Christmas in Bethlehem...just to name a few things we did!

I sent Daniel to Walgreens to pick up some hangers for the tree and he came home with these reindeer ears for the girls, they humored him and wore then for about a min, so he wore them the rest of the tree trimming!

Here are the girls before the Nutcracker. Surprisingly they sat through all 2 hours of it! Eliza only blurted out "I want to go night night"once! Isabelle stood by her seat and practiced all the moves she was watching on stage!!! It was a lot of fun!

ohhhhh and it snowed! Isabelle had been talking about it for days, when it finally started she walked out side and said "where is the real snow?" when I told her that was it, she asked "how am I going to build and snowman" followed by "how are we going to ski?" She didn't really understand Houston snow! Eliza took one look at it and asked to go inside!!!

Daniel was in charge of the girls for maybe 15mins last weekend and this is what happened.........both were covered in my makeup....and oh so proud. And no I don't have the pictures of a few days later when he was in charge and I came home to Eliza asleep in bed with her cheek covered in hot pink nail polish!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well I did it!!! (kind of!) I was so excited to be able to say I did the whole race, but part is better than none right! The first day was canceled because La Grange the stop over point got 12 inches of rain Friday. It ended up raining all day sat so I think it was a good call in the end.

So after plans changed a hundred times we were on our way. I stayed Sat night with my riding friends in Schulenberug at the oakridge motor inn. Don't ever go there. I mean it! It was so horrible is was funny. I guess if we had been riding that whole first day it wouldn't be bad...but oh my!

We got up bright and early Sunday morning to misting rain and fog! But when we got to the town square it was starting to clear some. It was so neat to see how many people where there. They were expecting 50% to come but over 85% showed up....totalling over 11,000 riders. And yes it seemed like that many people. I tried to take a picture to show how many people where waiting but you can't tell how massive the crowd was form the picture!!!

The wind was horrible. A few times it pushed my bike to the side and other times would push my bike to a stand still if I didn't peddle really hard! So I skipped the first rest stop and then stopped at the second and who did I run into....Jacob Lira....my college roommate for a semester! He is probably one of the last people I would expect to run into in a sea of 11,000 but it was so great to see a friendly face. (I hope you made it to Austin Jacob!!)

Then it was major hills, lunch, hills, bikers all around, hills, a breakpoint or two...and then the finish line in Austin. Daniel was waiting for me at the end and it was so great to see him!The crowd at the end was incredible..people all over the place and lining the street for about the last mile cheering you on. I can't get over the amount of volunteers this race takes, all the sweet people along the roadside cheering for strangers and the amount of people who care about the MS community. I didn't except to be so overwhelmed by the whole thing. But sometimes I get so mad at MS and what it does and takes away from Daniel, so it felt like I was working really hard to get somewhere for him!!!!

My friends Ann and Diana were a gift from God in this whole thing. I was really bummed when Mary couldn't ride and didn't know how to approach the ride. Then one day I sat next to Ann on a bench at the Y and some how I started telling her about my situation and she invited me to do some weekend rides with her and her friend. They taught me so much and encouraged me a lot in training and on race day. I am so very grateful and owe a ton to them!!!!

Thank you to Mom and Dad for watching the girls Sat and Sunday nights. I know they can be a handful but they had so much fun with Mimi and Papa. Thanks also to the Almans for watching the girls Friday night!! It was a team effort to get the whole weekend done!

Thank you so much to everyone who donated. Daniel and I were beyond surprised and moved by the amount of people who supported us. It was really great for Daniel to see how many people are really vested in supporting him and find a cure or at least a really good solution for MS!

The MS 150 if this weekend and I am already having nightmares about it. Yes I had a nightmare about it last night and woke up in a panic! I am excited about it but very nervous too!!

I always told Daniel at year 10 I would ride for him, but who knew year ten would come so soon! So everyone say a pray that the weather clears up and its nice riding weather. And pray I make it to Austin.

I will update everyone Monday night (if I can sit at the computer that soon :))

I got a very cute video from Belinda that other day with a little girl singing the Lords Prayer. She said she wondered if her grandkids could do the same.....so her you go! She can't sing it but close. Pardon the dog and his sneeze!!!!

Our updates!!!!!!

• We had a great Valentines Day! Daniel made us all heart pancakes for breakfast and the girls opened their gits....(Eliza was really not impressed with her book!) After playing with the girls in the yard the sitter came over and Daniel and I took off for a date afternoon. So it was a great day all around!

• This weekend we were a tad more boring. But I did get a bathroom makeover! My wonderful handy man father in law installed a ceiling fan and a tv in my bathroom. Its so great I now take twice as long to get ready!!!!

• I had a little bit of a freak out moment this morning when I realized that the MS 150 is less than 2 months away and I have yet to ride over 27 miles. Oh boy....I really need to get busy with the mile count!!!

• Check out this site. http://www.bioness.com/NESS_L300_for_Foot_Drop.php Daniel went and got fitted for one of these things last week. We are really excited about it and think that it may help Daniel walk a little easier. It sends an electric shock into his leg with each step causing his foot to lift better. I call it his robotic leg. When they were testing it, he looked like a robot with the lady moving his foot all around for him with a machine!!! So say some prayers that this will help him walk with less fatigue!!!!!!

I wonder if I even remember how to update my blog........................ :)

Well we have a big announcement.....We got a dog. In retrospect I have no idea what we were thinking but 2 dogs later (don't even ask) a trip to the emergency vet and a whole slew of other things I think I am ready to introduce yall!!!

We named him Oliver but call him Ollie. He is a white schnoodle! He is about 2 years old...... we are not positive on the age because we got him from a rescue organization. He is really very good with the kids but gets very upset when we leave. He chewed out of the metal kennel and destroyed the blinds in our room. Again what were we thinking.

But after a long week in which I wanted to get rid of him a few times I think we have decided he can stay!!!!

Halloween was a lot of fun. Thursday Isabelle had a school parade and party. Which was my first party as room mom! Then Friday was the big day. Isabelle was very good a trick or treating, her and her friend Aubrie would take turns ringing the door bell and then both yell Trick or Treat! Isabelle couldn't wait to go home and eat her candy. Eliza was my surprise trick or treater of the night. She LOVED it. She insisted on walking the whole neighborhood and would lose it if you tried to hold her bucket for her! It was a very fun holiday but it seemed to drag on forever so I am glad Halloween is over :) And I will be really glad when the candy is gone!!!'

We carved our pumpkins this weekend and I think they came out great. We haven't done it for the past few years! They are already starting to rot, I just hope they make it to Friday!

This weekend we went to a fall carnival at the YMCA. They had crafts, games, cupcake decorating and a "spooky house" It was great, not to crowded and geared toward the little ones...and definite for next year!
